Encore!! - Eurasia Wins the LMA 2003 “Best Shipmanager in Asia” once again

Eurasia once again proved its credentials as Asia’s top ship management company by beating off stiff competition from two of its closest rivals Wallem and Fleet to win the Best Ship Manager category at the “The 5th Lloyd's List Maritime Asia Awards” for the second consecutive year. The awards were presented for the first time in China, at a glittering ceremony at the Pudong Shangri-la Hotel in Shanghai on 4th December 2003.

Lloyd’s List Maritime Asia, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, is published quarterly along with the prestigious daily shipping newspaper, Lloyd’s List.

Eurasia was short listed for the award following nominations from the industry. Subsequently, a team of judges comprising eminent academics, shippers and owners then made their final choice from the three finalists.

Mr. Bajpaee was understandably delighted to win this prestigious award for the second year running and remarked “Winning the award for the second time in a row is a re-endorsement of the confidence the industry has in Eurasia’s ability to manage its ships to the highest quality.”

“Apart from being highly motivational for our staff, the award gives us the satisfaction in knowing we are moving in the right direction both as a company and as far as the market perceives our efforts. It is eminent and neutral third parties who have decided that we deserve this award and I am very thankful to them for this confidence” he added.

This latest accolade follows hot on the heels of Eurasia’s success earlier this year in being named overall winner of the highly prestigious Hong Kong Management Association Quality Award and Mr. Bajpaee’s appointment as the ISMA President for the next two years.

Recognition of our efforts also seems to be paying off with more ships coming under our management. By the end of next month, Eurasia’s managed fleet will rise to 83 ships with the addition of 13 vessels to the fleet.

As always at Eurasia, Expect More.
